The fourth annual UnityWorks Spring Conference was a great success, with many stating that they loved having a safe and welcoming space for people of diverse backgrounds to be together, to learn about our commonalities as well as our differences, and to share our hopes and dreams for the future.
The program included presentations and displays from several UnityWorks site teams, two My Story speakers, a talk by the Yakima School Board, and student performances by the Washington Middle School Mecha Club Dancers and the Davis High School Jazz and Show Choirs (see photos below).
The conference ended with each table adding a leaf to the tree
of humanity. Written on each leaf was a suggestion, a question,
a commitment, or a hope for the future.
